Spotlight Spice: Rotisserie Rub

Rotisserie Rub

Tomorrow is National Rotisserie Day (yep – that’s a thing), making it the perfect week to shine the spotlight on our Rotisserie Rub.

Rotisserie chickens are wildly popular. In fact, one large wholesale club sells over 100 million of them annually! While they are super convenient, they also can be loaded with sugar and preservatives. Luckily, it’s not difficult to make a delicious, rotisserie-like chicken at home using our Rotisserie Rub.

Our blend contains salt, paprika, garlic, onion, pepper, and citric acid – no sugar, no modified corn-anything, and no MSG. To prepare a whole chicken in the oven, brush the bird with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and coat liberally with Rotisserie Rub. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F and continue to cook until the internal temperature of the chicken is between 165-175°F on an instant-read thermometer.

If you follow our Spotlight Spice stories, you know we’re not a fan of one-trick ponies when it comes to our spice blends. Rotisserie Rub is also great turkey, pork, and fish. Use it as a multi-purpose seasoning on roasted veggies, baked potatoes, and more.
