East Village Holiday Promenade

East Village Holiday Promenade

We're thrilled that Holiday Promenade in the Historic East Village is back for the season soon! This year's celebration will occur on Fridays beginning November 19 through December 17.

Mark your calendars and join us for a bit of holiday cheer each week by enjoying the festivities and getting in your holiday shopping. Many of your favorite retailers will be open later on Friday nights during Promenade - we'll be here until 9 p.m.

Here's a run-down of the weekly festivities:

Nov. 19: Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Santa Claus will return to Brenton Skating Plaza to light the Christmas tree and kick-off the holiday season.

At AllSpice we'll be keeping with tradition by serving our popular Triple Ginger Cookies (grab the kit and make them at home, too), and hot mulled cider.

Nov. 26: 12 Days of Christmas

Stroll the East Village to find images from each of the 12 Days of Christmas. Twelve East Village businesses will feature an image from this classic carol in their window. Pick up a participation card from the Promenade Information Station when you arrive, find each of the twelve signs, then return your card to the station for a special coupon.

Dec. 3: Deck the Halls

We'll be all decked out for the holidays for the Dec. 3 wreath walk! Check out all the beautiful holiday decorations in business around the East Village. Pick up your own holiday swag from vendors who will have wreaths, garlands, and more!

Dec. 10: Jingle All the Way

Come down and enjoy a horse-drawn trolley ride (and if you're walking, watch where ya step!). The Trolley will begin at the State Historical Building Portico and will operate continuously with occasional rest periods for the horses. Find hidden ornaments and check out a special holiday ornament workshop at The Depot, too.

Dec. 17: It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

And finally, what's more festive than fireworks?!? Join us at 7 p.m. for the Fireworks Spectacular, then finish up your holiday shopping. The evening will be filled with surprises around each corner including a special visitor!

Follow the event on Facebook to stay informed and be reminded as we get closer to the first evening of Promenade.
